Serge-André Jones
Serge-André Jones is a Quebec pianist and composer trained in classical performance at Université Laval and Université de Montréal. From a very young age, he developed a deep relationship with the piano, which he explores through a sensitive, expressive, and versatile approach. A stage performer, he creates solo shows that blend music, theatre, philosophy, and humor, demonstrating a strong desire to connect with audiences authentically. His musical world, nourished by diverse influences and a rich imagination, is distinguished by its varied colours and the depth of its emotions. Now living in the Eastern Townships, he draws much of his inspiration from nature. His album, De l’autre côté (On the Other Side), reflects this introspective approach, where virtuosity, sensitivity, and evocative power converge in an artistic offering that appeals to both music lovers and the general public. In the past year, Serge-André Jones has been involved in numerous projects and collaborations. In addition to the successful launch of his album (LeDevoir, ICIMusique), he appeared on the television program Piano public, hosted by Gregory Charles and Viviane Audet, and accompanied soprano Natalie Choquette.
Serge-André Jones is also active in his community as a piano teacher and accompanist. He is involved in the public piano project in his village of Sutton. In 2024, he organized a pianothon, playing for six hours to raise money for scholarships for young musicians. In 2024-2025, he organized three benefit concerts to raise money for the maintenance of the pianos in his village's performance venues.
