Éric Dion - Les aurores

Eric Dion, also a member of the folk duo Dans l’Shed, explores new sounds with his new album, L’origine du vent (The Origin of the Wind). While still driven by guitars reminiscent of Americana, his new songs embrace pop-infused textures thanks to the addition of pianos, synthesizers, and backing vocals. All the songs are set in his village or a place in the Gaspé Peninsula where he experienced significant moments. He reflects on the passage of time, love, heartbreak, friendship, and parenthood. In 2025, the album's first single, Les matins fragiles (Fragile Mornings), reached the Mediabase Top 100, and the artist was crowned an iHeart Future Star on the Énergie network.

With musicians Éric Blanchard (electric guitar) and Marie Lou Brière Berthelot (bass and vocals)

8 km from Percé. The Musée culturel de Coin-du-Banc (Corner of the Beach Cultural Museum) is a former Anglican church (St. Luke) located at the beginning of the village of Coin-du-Banc when coming from Percé, on the mountain side. (Easy to miss given its location immediately after the turn at the end of the village of Cannes-de-Roches.)

Parking on the adjacent grass lot. Ramp for people with reduced mobility.

Éric Dion

Éric Dion is a singer-songwriter, backing musician, and producer from the Gaspé Peninsula.

He is one half of the duo Dans l’Shed. In 2014, after recording their first EP, the duo was an official selection at the Petite-Vallée Song Festival, where they won the SOCAN Song Award for “Dans l’bois.” Shortly after, the duo signed with the Moncton-based agency and label Le Grenier musique, with whom they released four albums and two EPs. Since then, Dans l’Shed has performed over 200 shows in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Louisiana, Quebec, and across Canada. In 2017, at the Trille Or Awards Gala in Ottawa, their extensive touring throughout French-speaking Canada earned them the Export Québec trophy.

On February 27, 2026, Éric released “L’origine du vent,” his first solo project, on the Le Grenier musique label. The public response was exceptional. Although still driven by guitars reminiscent of Americana, his new songs embrace more pop textures thanks to the addition of pianos, synthesizers, and backing vocals. All the songs are set in his village or a place in the Gaspé Peninsula where he experienced significant moments. He reflects on the passage of time, love, heartbreak, friendship, and parenthood.
