During this event, we will explore the relationship between image and the architecture of the Morrin Centre, using collage as a starting point to envision a video-mapping work.

PROGRAM

Presentation and Screening: Irina González will present her video-mapping short films created for the Morrin Centre and briefly explain how these works emerged from playing with the building's architecture and forms.

Collage Workshop: Each participant will create their own collage using a reproduction of the Morrin Centre’s façade. Participants will be free to experiment with various materials while exploring the relationship between their composition and the building’s architectural forms.

Animating the Collages: The various collages will be combined and layered with images on acetate sheets. We will experiment with animating them to envision a dynamic visual work. The results will be photographed and displayed on screen.

This activity is given in French. All materials will be provided, no previous experience is required.

This event is presented as part of the Shared Horizons project, made possible thanks to the support of the Government of Canada.
