He also took part in the tribute to Alfred Montmarquette, initiated by the late harmonica player Gabriel Labbé.
Since settling in Chaudière-Appalaches in 2009, he co-founded the Camp de Souches à Oreilles, a vibrant hub for the transmission of living heritage. As an instructor, he has guided hundreds of musicians—both amateur and professional—in discovering or deepening their knowledge of traditional Québécois music. Recently honored with multiple awards for his latest album, Grandes Rencontres, Sabin Jacques is known for his sensitive yet virtuosic playing.
