Born in Dakar, BO DIAW grew up in a family of artists and developed a passion for music at a very early age. At the age of 17, he joined the band Mballo Assiko and made a name for himself with a style blending pop, reggae, dancehall and afrobeat. As a singer-songwriter, BO DIAW promotes Senegalese and Canadian culture through his music. He has collaborated with several international artists such as Didier Awadi, Mark Gabriel and Elage Diouf, and in 2013 signed with the Canadian production company Promoimages. His first single, “C’EST MA BLONDE!”, became a summer hit. In 2015, he released “HYPNOTIZE” and in 2017 “YAW LAY WEUR”. The winner of several awards, including at the Gala Dynastie (2018) and the Kilimandjaro Music Awards (2023), he continues his career between Senegal and Canada. His album The Village, released in November 2024, marks a new chapter in his career.
