In December 2017, two friends, both salsa enthusiasts, met in Montreal and founded Sabor 19, a Latin music orchestra whose name pays tribute both to 2019, the year of their breakthrough, and to the city’s 19 boroughs. For over six years, the band has been setting stages and major festivals ablaze with salsa that bursts with authenticity and energy. Today, composed of ten musicians from Haiti, Colombia, Mexico, Morocco, Turkey, and Canada, this cultural melting pot offers both vibrant covers and original compositions — including four tracks now available on streaming platforms — all with a clear mission: to make the world dance and to share the human warmth and joy of the street through music.
