Award-winning West African songwriter Dicko Fils will present his new and twelfth album, La Route, at a special concert at Club Balattou on 8 March. The evening will bring together special guests and unveil compositions from his eagerly awaited new opus.

A decorated artist, DickoFils has been honored by the Burkina Faso Ministry of Culture and is best known for his mastery of the ngoni. He is on a mission to promote the Peulh traditions on a global scale, ensuring that they become accessible to a wide range of audiences.

The album, La Route, is set for release on 7 March 2025 and features eight previously unreleased tracks, composed by Dicko prior to his relocation to Montreal last year. The album celebrates 20 years of the artist's career, embracing modernity, afrobeats and coupé-décalé rhythms, surfing the afro-electro wave while maintaining a certain tradition.
