Ménodji Clarisse, known as Melodji, is a prominent figure in contemporary Chadian music, celebrated for her powerful and emotive voice. Her passion for music began in childhood, inspired by her mother and aunts. In 2001, she founded the group Matania, winning several accolades, including a gold medal at the CEN-SAD Games in 2007. Melodji later embarked on a solo career, expanding her reach to Europe, the United States, and Canada. Her debut album, "Ta Horndal," was released in 2013, followed by "Minoh" in 2023, showcasing her artistic evolution. Exploring various musical genres, she addresses social themes such as love and peace. A self-taught artist, Melodji also trained in Côte d’Ivoire and Lyon, solidifying her role as an ambassador of Chadian culture.
