Somewhat like rock opera, this impressive multimedia concert explores Picaroon’s inner world as he surveys the outer world from the confines of his room. Lighting effects and projected images transform this space into a kaleidoscope of inhabited emotions: a desert island, a run-down room, an abandoned mine. There is discomfort and despair, but also vitality in facing nothingness with acts of creation. With stage direction by Robert Bellefeuille and his band (including two drummers), Mclean revitalizes songs from all of his albums to date and particularly “Anonyme” released in late 2023.

Mclean – « Picaroon »
Mclean is the solo project of Simon Jutras, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Sudbury. At the age of 17, he won the Audience Award at the Festival international de la chanson de Granby as a member of the pop/jazz group Penthotal. He then took part in several musical projects, including the group KONFLIT for their 5th album SHIFT, and many memorable concerts such as Froche 2009 with Malajube. He graduated from Concordia with a degree in Literary Creation, while diversifying as a composer (Josh Herd's short films, BRBR's theme song).
In 2013, he inaugurated the Mclean project at the Ontario Pop competition, where he won the Petite Vallée prize in songwriting. He then composed his debut album “Sans l'abri d'un quand” in the solitude of a cottage near Sudbury. The album features several accomplished
musicians, including Olivier Fairfield (Timber Timbre, FET.NAT) on drums and Stef Rancourt (Jean Leloup, Pascale Picard) on console, and won Best Francophone Album at the NOMFAs, a gala for Northern Ontario's arts industry.
