From accusations to convictions, Stephan Martel explores the figure of the witch and the stories of those accused in the Salem witch trials and some twenty-five additional trials in New France. Explore the judicial workings behind these trials, highlighting the social and religious dynamics of the time.

Stéphan Martel is the scientific advisor for the exhibition Witches: Out of the Shadows, author of the Revue d’histoire de la Nouvelle-France (No. 2) – Magie et sorcellerie en Nouvelle-France, and Assistant Director and Head of Research at the Marguerite-Bourgeoys Historic Site.
