Our GLORIA concert will mark the prelude to the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Chœur classique de l’Outaouais. Two masterpieces are on the program: Vivaldi’s baroque Gloria, dazzling and timeless, and Poulenc’s Gloria, intense and modern.

Tiphaine Legrand will direct the Choir in a bold interpretation that echoes the visionary spirit of Vivaldi and Poulenc. True to its reputation for exploring the classics with creativity and originality, the CCO will be accompanied by two highly talented pianists. Vivaldi’s Gloria will take on a new color thanks to a new arrangement for two pianos by Frédéric Lacroix, the Choir’s pianist for over fifteen years. He will share the stage with his successor, Anthony Lampron, who will bring his own sensitivity and musical energy to the performance.

Guest soprano Marie-Claire Fafard-Blais will enrich this vibrant program with her clear agile voice.
