In concert, Blaise LaBamba, who earned the Syli Bonze in 2022, celebrates Kinshasa’s golden age of ‘80s. Ambiance. Music. Joy. And, of course, la sape! A seasoned musician once a part of his Big Stars du Général Defau, Blaise LaBamba skillfully leads his band through rhythmic breaks that brook no rest, long bursts of syncopated chords and improvised dialogues between keyboard and guitar. Congolese rumba and soukous in their purest form!
