Harpist Valérie Milot's new show Nebulae presents an artistic and philosophical reflection on the science of astral phenomena.
The harp bears witness to the evolution of human beings and their relationship with the universe. From the primary instrument known as the lyre, which he evokes as a constellation, then transcended by a complex harp with a thousand possibilities, a parallel is drawn between the evolution of art and science.
Human beings develop complex tools, expressing what makes them unique: being endowed with artistic expression and scientific understanding. Like this perfected harp, the power of today's telescopes is becoming a tool for digging deeper into human consciousness and pushing existential questions a little further.
This grandiose, omnipotent journey leads to a philosophical reflection on existence. Ultimately, the human being adopts a humble position in relation to the universe. He becomes autonomous, free of myth and religion, realising that science is itself poetry and that he must accept a share of the unknown.
An intimate concert of reflections, humour and intoxicating music will forge a precious bond between the artist and music lovers, in a unique visual environment created by Quebec artists and artisans.
