Véronique Trudel

Véronique Trudel is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist. Her work is eclectic and creative, mainly in the intimist style of folk music, but without being confined to a particular style. Her musical interests, especially singing and composition, go back to her childhood. In 2006, when she spent 10 months living in Iqaluit in Nunavut, she developed an interest in performance. Accompanying herself on piano, her guitar, or her ukulele, she performs her compositions with sweet refreshing originality and contagious sensitivity. Her creations are imbued with spirituality, a feeling for daily life as a mother, and love. She released her first mini-album "Après l’hiver" (After Winter) in May 2020, presenting six different worlds that deal with themes such as courage, hypersensitivity, and the quest for meaning.

Mat Bergeron

Mathew Pellerin Bergeron, aka Mat Bergeron, is a singer-songwriter-composer from Squamish, in British Columbia. It is now nearly two decades since Mat Bergeron starting composing songs and shifted from one style of music to another: from hip hop to rock, with an interlude of blues, to finally end up as a folk artist. He has a prolific catalogue that just keeps growing. He took part in a number of projects with CBC Radio Canada, including a televised show in 2018 called “Performance Éclair” (meaning “Flash Performance”) where he met the challenge of writing and recording a song in less than 24 hours. Recently, Mat decided to start recording a solo album in his home studio. He is also learning to play the piano, which is taking him in a new direction musically. He sees music as a kind of therapy, an escape route from everyday life. The concert on March 27 will be Mat's big return on stage.
