BEACON OF HOPE (Montreal)

When Nicky and Marty met at med school they knew they were destined for so much more. 10 years later they formed a sketch comedy duo called beacon of hope. A year or so after that they won best new troupe at Montreal Sketchfest. And now here they are again, back at it. It’s amazing what a number of years of hard work can do.

EMILY JEFFERS (Toronto)

A year after stunning audiences with her zany, creepy, squeaky antics as Bitty-Bat, Emily Jeffers returns to Montreal Sketchfest with a brand-new character, THE MATHEMAGICIAN! Emily Jeffers is a performer and producer currently based in Toronto, Canada. She has trained with clown masters Philippe Gaulier, Aitor Basauri (Spymonkey Theatre), Deanna Fleysher, Pedro Fabião, John Gilkey (and other instructors from The Idiot Workshop), Kevin Krieger, Chad Damiani, and more. Emily was featured in the Best of the Fest at Montreal Sketchfest in 2024 and at Toronto Sketchfest in 2025. She has also performed at Comedy is Art, What the Festival, the Toronto Fringe Festival, the Montreal Clown Festival and Edinburgh Fringe, where she received a coveted five-star "Outstanding Show" review!
