TONGUES :
Tongues is a fun, all lady sketch group composed of long standing improvisors and theatre makers based in Montreal. They come together with quick wit and big characters to explore diva cups, milk aisles, and much more comedy goodness that will tickle your taste buds.
NONAME PINATA :
Noname Piñata is a new sketch group composed of Montreal-based actors, improvisers, stand-up comedians and producers bonded by our mutual allergy to making money (*except Mel).
TITA COLLECTIVE :
Tita Collective is an all-Filipina collective composed of award-winning playwrights, comedians, musicians, dancers, theatre makers and actors. They explore different mediums to tell the stories about the Filipin* diaspora. Through theatre, comedy, music, and movement, we aspire to tell stories that: thoughtfully honour and celebrate our roots and history, explore our identities as Filipinas, represent the narratives of the Philippine diaspora in an inclusive and respectful way, and nurtures and unites community through joy and laughter.
They have won several awards, including the 2022 BroadwayWorld Toronto Awards - Best Ensemble Performance (Professional), 2022 Just For Laughs Award at the Montreal Sketch Comedy Festival, 2019 Steamwhistle Producers’ Pick at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, Best Newcomer at the Montreal Sketch Comedy Festival, the Second City Outstanding New Comedy Award and Patrons’ Pick at the 2019 Toronto Fringe Festival. They were featured in the “19 Asian Millennial Women You Should Know” listing by Cold Tea Collective, and in Spotify Canada’s “Need Women” campaign for Women’s History Month.
They have performed with notable artists, including Sam Milby (ABS-CBN/The Filipino Channel), Bob the Drag Queen and Monét X Change (Just for Laugh Toronto)
Individually, Tita Collective are: Ann Paula Bautista (Grow), Belinda Corpuz (Ursa: A Folk Musical), Ellie Posadas (Scarborough), Alia Rasul (Moro Girl), and Maricris Rivera (Short Dances).
