Opera as you've never seen it! Three Canadian composers and three librettists, winners of the Mécénat Musica Prix 3 Femmes invite us to discover 3 new operas created during the pandemic: Plaything, a dark comedy about a whistleblower and the escaped celebrity parrot she enlists for her cause; Justine et les machines, a writer struggles with her writer's block and invokes her favourite 19th century composer Augusta Holmes via an old typewriter; and Vanishing Point, a poignant intergenerational drama on dementia and radical love. Don't miss this unprecedented lyrical evening with notes and words which echo our tormented times.
