The Monteregie maple syrup producers’ unions invite producers from Monteregie region to attend an English-language training event in November in Saint-Ignace-de-Stanbridge.

We will mainly deal with the bad tastes of syrup (the causes and the solutions), the tapping (the consequences of tapping near the old cuts). Also, the secrets for better performance

There will also be exchanges with producers on topical maple sugar topics.

The list of invited speakers includes Dr. Abby van den Berg from the Proctor Maple Research Center in Vermont.

In the afternoon, you can talk with the speakers. Also, it will be possible to ask questions about the activities of the Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers.

The cost of the activity is $40, including lunch.

For information: Lucie Dumas, at UPA Monteregie  450 774-9154, ext. 5231 or by email ldumas@upa.qc.ca.
