Following up on his sold-out jazz show in March, Fave Daka returns to Théâtre Sainte-Catherine on June 21, this time to introduce The Fave Daka Show, a sort of variety show that will have featured guests share stage and sing along with Daka. The first edition of The Fave Daka Show features Sarah Stevenson, a rising-star jazz vocalist from Vancouver Island who is currently enrolled in McGill University’s jazz program. Stevenson has performed at various jazz festivals and esteemed jazz clubs throughout Canada, drawing audiences in with her vocal timbre which recalls of the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. So, what to expect from The Fave Daka Show? Jazz and bossa nova classics that embody the sentimental things in life. Serenading saxophone solos. Knock-knock jokes.
