Subsun
Combining the raw power of sludge, the psychedelic atmosphere of doom, the eclectic structures of progressive metal, and the melodic hooks of stoner rock, Subsun is a heavy music powerhouse hailing from Gatineau, Quebec.
Comprised of André Bélanger (Guitar), Jérémy Blais (Drums), Charles Lord (Bass/Vocals), and Jean-Michel Fortin (Guitar/Vocals), the quartet has quickly carved out a distinct space in the Quebec underground scene. Their sonic universe is saturated with massive fuzz, sudden transitions, and a dynamic contrast between dark, ominous soundscapes and abrasive, high-octane heavy sections. But while their studio arrangements are meticulously crafted, it is their high-energy, punishing live performances that have earned them a dedicated following among fans of thunderous drums and greasy, low-end tones.
