Description

...singing from hell through heaven... is an experimental, performative exploration of the voice as a living instrument of transformation.

Here, the voice becomes a generating force—visceral, expansive, and unpredictable—intertwined with electronic sounds to reveal new terrains of expression.

Through a minimalist approach to digital processing, the voice unfolds as a flexible material, capable of shifting from one tone to another, from one language to another, from one emotional landscape to the next.

Adelaida weaves an electroacoustic world where the voice oscillates between intimacy and vastness, matter and myth, presence and echo—tracing the contours of what it means to sing beyond the body.

Biography

Adelaida lives and works under the full moon. A mermaid in winter, a witch in summer, she uses her voice like a spell. Singing from hell through heaven, she transforms onstage—from phoenix to rhapsode, from rhapsode to siren...

Her work treats the voice as a living being: expressive, ritualistic, and ever-evolving. Layer by layer, Adelaida builds choirs of breath and echoes that weave electronics into flesh and summon songs that blur the boundaries between the organic and the digital, between presence and memory.

Her creations often take the form of immersive ceremonies. Cántaro (2022), her debut album, gave rise to a choral-electronic universe that led her to festivals such as Eufònic, Primavera Sound, BAM, and SheMakesNoise. Her second album, Muérdago, premiered successfully at Sónar 2024 and took her on tour across Europe and Mexico.
