The Las Huelgas Codex contains a large repertoire of music that was sung during the 13th century at the women’s monastery of Santa Maria la Real de Las Huelgas, a convent in northern Spain that exists to this day. Ensemble Scholastica’s singers will be spending this winter getting to know this rich source, decrypting and learning songs directly from its pages.
