Le FFKFF vous donne rendez-vous à l’Espace DesPrés à Sutton pour une soirée consacrée à l’œuvre et à l’héritage du grand sculpteur québécois Robert Roussil, autour de la projection du documentaire R. Roussil, Le cul par terre, en présence du réalisateur Maxime-Claude L’Écuyer.
Figure majeure de la sculpture québécoise, Robert Roussil s’est distingué par ses œuvres audacieuses et son engagement profond envers la liberté d’expression. À travers ce documentaire sensible et habité, le film replonge dans l’univers artistique et philosophique de l’artiste, en revisitant notamment son mythique moulin du sud de la France, où il a créé une grande partie de son œuvre.
La soirée débutera par une discussion autour de la sculpture Hommage à Roussil des artistes Hugo Maciel et Luis Murcho (Portugal), réalisée en 2014 et installée sur le site de l’Espace Després, avant la projection du film et une discussion avec le réalisateur.

For this eighth summer stopover, the FFKFF invites you to Espace DesPrés in Sutton for an evening dedicated to the work and legacy of the great Quebec sculptor Robert Roussil, featuring a screening of the documentary R. Roussil, Le cul par terre, in the presence of director Maxime-Claude L’Écuyer.
A major figure in Quebec sculpture, Robert Roussil distinguished himself through his bold works and his profound commitment to freedom of expression. Through this sensitive and soulful documentary, the film dives into the artist's aesthetic and philosophical universe, notably revisiting his legendary mill in the South of France, where he created a significant portion of his life's work.
The evening will begin with a discussion regarding the sculpture Hommage à Roussil by artists Hugo Maciel and Luis Murcho (Portugal). Created in 2014 and installed on-site at Espace Després, this piece sets the stage for the film screening and a subsequent Q&A with the director.
