Acts of Reclamation is an evening screening of five Filipino dance films using choreographic practice as a means of engaging, confronting, or dealing with various contexts of violence.

Selected by the writer, programmer, and researcher Roselle Pineda, and the teacher and multimedia artist Louise Jashil R. Sonido, you will have the opportunity to watch short films by Sari Dalena (White Funeral), John Carlo Nova (Nagimaskan Mayyang (You're so delicious, Maria)), Roselle Pineda (Sagot and Wang-Wang) and Gerone Centeno (Panighaw).

These films show the body as the main experience of trauma, ranging from domestic violence to social discrimination through state fascism and through choreographic and cinematographic techniques, try to create spaces for their release.
