Zal Sissokho, originally from southern Senegal, is a singer-songwriter who honors his heritage by performing in Malinké and Wolof. From bossa nova to flamenco, with a nod to Quebec folk, he has forged numerous musical friendships while remaining true to his identity. He is an artist who beautifully combines his openness to the world with his desire to preserve his West African culture.

Aboulaye Koné was born in Côte d’Ivoire and grew up in Burkina Faso, where he learned to play percussion and guitar. Doumdoums, djembes, guitars, and vocals create the gentle sound of his repertoire, allowing the audience to escape. His iconic interpretations of the West African repertoire allowed him to win the Syli d’Or for world music from Productions Nuits d’Afrique in 2009.
