Founded in 2021 under the musical direction of Julio de Armas and Alexei Ramos Céspedes, the Septeto de Montréal brings the best of Cuban music to the heart of the city. Salsa, son, guaracha, bolero—these seven musicians, who are an integral part of the Montreal scene, bring their Caribbean groove to life with glamour and flamboyance. Their sharp brass, intense percussion, and contagious good humor make you want to dance. As both tradition bearers and ambassadors of a living culture, they have shared the stage with renowned artists such as Isaac Delgado and Haila María Mompié, and have performed at iconic venues such as the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
