Trio Quintina, with the special presence of Gustavo Schwartz, visiting directly from Brazil, invites Diogo Ramos for a vibrant evening celebrating the many rhythms of Brazil — samba, baião, choro, ijexá, and more — all reimagined through the lens of contemporary world music influences. Founded in 1998 in Curitiba and led by brothers Gabriel and Gustavo Schwartz, the trio has released ten albums to date, showcasing a musical style that is both virtuosic and deeply rooted in Brazilian popular culture. Based in Montreal since 2018, Gabriel Schwartz has established himself as a key figure in the city’s Brazilian music scene through his project Folk-Bossa and collaborations with Forró de Lá, Choro de Quintal, Bianca Rocha, and Diogo Ramos. The latter, a staple of Montreal’s Brazilian scene for over a decade, has released two acclaimed albums: Samba sans frontières and Cabaça. Their musical connection, first sparked during performances together in Curitiba in 2025, continues this year with an exceptional reunion concert in Montreal!
