Between wandering poetry and blended rhythms, the evening promises a vibrant journey painted in the colors of the world. “Labess contains vitamin B, the B for happiness!” said France Inter in 2024, and it’s precisely that radiant energy that Nedjim Bouizzoul and Quebec-Moroccan percussionist Kattam will bring to the stage. Twenty years after his Montreal beginnings, the Algerian-Quebecois singer, now based in Brittany, returns to where it all started. After a sold-out performance at the Olympia in Paris celebrating twenty years of music and five albums, Labess continues to make borders dance with his gypsy-chaabi style, infused with influences from the Maghreb and Eastern Europe. Carried by his raspy, soulful voice, his music celebrates freedom, roots, and hope, a festive and tender blend of humanity. His latest album, Dima libre, was released in 2024.

Opening this special evening will be an exceptional and heartfelt moment: singer-songwriter and guitarist Raphaëlle Toulemonde, from southwestern France, will join Labess on stage for a shared performance filled with connection. Her French songs, inspired by the sounds of her travels and carried by sincerity and emotion, resonate deeply within Labess’s universe.
