Nomadic Fulani artist from Burkina Faso, Moulaye Dicko, born into a family of 14 children, draws his inspiration from the griot traditions of the Mandé Empire, like Salif Keita and Oumou Sangaré. A virtuoso of the n’goni and a singer with a wide vocal range, he gained recognition in 2005 with his first group, Le Faso Kanou. By 2007, he was shining across West African capitals, releasing albums and becoming a dancefloor sensation in 2014 with his hit Denke Denke. A regular at international festivals, he contributes to impactful stage creations such as Antigone, inspired by Mandela. Since 2018, both New York and Paris have embraced him as a true Ambassador of Peace.
