Born in Essaouira, the city of the Moroccan Gnawas, Fourat developed his art alongside the great Maalem Omar El Hayat, with whom he performs on numerous stages in Morocco and France. Arriving in Quebec in 2017, he collaborated with several artists on the Montreal scene and began playing with Grooz, an Algerian artist he accompanies on festival stages.
