Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, singer-songwriter Naxx Bitota settled in Quebec in 2008, with the firm intention of expressing her immense creative talent. Influenced by the classical and popular music of her childhood, notably Mutuashi and Congolese rumba, her compositions demonstrate an unwavering commitment to drawing inspiration from the rhythms of different regions of Africa. In June 2022, Naxx released her debut album “Kuetu”, which means “home” in the Tshiluba language. This album, a blend of Congo rhythms and refreshing Afro Pop, evokes deep-seated themes: racism, living together, life experiences that help us grow.
