Under the leadership of Aboulaye Koné, the group Bolo Kan (sound of the hand) was born in 2004! Aimed at spreading Mandingo music, Aboulaye likes to present the style in several different instrumentations: acoustic, percussive and modern. In 2008 and 2009, the group won back-to-back Syli d'Argent and Syli d'Or awards for world music. For several years now, Bolo Kan has been travelling the country, bringing the Mandingo sound to audiences from Salle Bourgie to the Festival du Bout du Monde. Their first OPUS, Afo Gné, was shortlisted for the JUNO Awards. Guitar solos, tributes and djembe phrases will be on the bill!
