LES ÉTOILES NUITS D'AFRIQUE

Nuit dansante

“A real post card of Cuban music” (Le Journal de Montréal, 2023). Just last winter, this maestro with smouldering eyes took to the stage at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal for the Cuban musical revue, “Havana Nights.” Salsa, timba and pilón: the pianist, composer, singer-songwriter, graduate of the prestigious Instituto Superior de Arte de La Habana, who has collaborated with the likes of Florence K and Boogát since his arrival in Québec, delivers an exquisite soundscape of Latin rhythms as he covers all-time favourites such as “Guantanamera” and “Chan Chan” alongside hits by pop artists Marc Anthony and Enrique Iglesias, while also showcasing the Yoruba’s Afro-Cuban heritage, not to mention his own compositions.
