“The songbird of Wassoulou” is back! Oumou Sangaré will be appearing at MTelus on April 21 to celebrate her exquisite ninth album, Timbuktu. Fiercely proud of her cultural heritage, Sangaré is also an ardent advocate of peace. With her clear, powerful voice, she harmonizes as elegantly with the delicate notes of the kamale ngoni as the bold pop-rock-blues arrangements.
