Mister Drê-D is a singer, songwriter, and composer. Following the success of his debut album, "Si ce n’était que pour l’amour," his second album, "Tounen nan rasin," is a true return to his roots. In this new work, he takes listeners on a lyrical journey narrated in Creole, paying homage to Haiti and his African heritage. Serving as a bridge between continents, his music is a fusion of Afro rhythms blending soul, reggae, and world music, where Mister Drê-D's vocals and lyrics reflect both personal experiences and a unique perspective on current affairs. Recognized internationally (awarded Best Francophone R&B Song by SOCAN in 2002) for his stage presence and charisma, the artist also knows how to surround himself with talented collaborators such as Noel Mpiaza (Jazzamboka) and David Mobio (keyboardist for Jean Leloup).
