Yazid, hailing from Gatineau with Moroccan heritage, is a talented French-speaking singer-songwriter. His music skillfully blends acoustic folk and Quebecois rock, drawing inspiration from funk, blues, pop, and traditional Moroccan music. Music has always been Yazid's preferred mode of expression. To him, it serves as a means to deeply connect with his audience, presenting his best self through his musical arrangements and stage presence, while also showcasing vulnerability through the lyrics of his songs. Recently, Yazid released his debut single, "Mon Chum," in March 2023, closely followed by the release of his first album, "Mauvaise Passe," in April of the same year.
