Like a troubadour, HK (real name Hippolyte Koutouan) has sailed on the melodious waves of an unparalleled musical experience.  In the anvil of his mind, he has forged a music with multiple reflections, blending the colours of the genres that have cradled his soul.  A child of the Ivory Coast, HK has listened to the murmur of reggae, the breath of jazz, the pulse of funk, the echo of electro, the words of hip-hop and the roots of traditional African music.  Like inspired guides, Fela Kuti, Tony Allen, Bob Marley, Miles Davis, Billy Cobham, Dave Wackl and Paco Sery have shaped his path, bringing with them the of the seventies.  From there, his footsteps took him to Morocco, where he beat out the rhythms alongside various groups.  He bewitched the notes alongside Issam Kamal, SISIMO and the Gnawi Abdel Kader, travelling the stages of Europe, Africa, Asia and America. He then moved to Canada and took part in a number of projects, including Shauit's album "Apu peikussiak".  Now a one-man band with his machines, HK and Loops, like a sonic alchemist, interweaves genres and creates his own musical magic.  His unique and original compositions charm the ears of listeners, who marvel at the listeners in awe of this modern-day musical storyteller.
