Bia Ferreira, a Brazilian artist and activist known for her music labeled "MMP - Música de Mulher Preta" (Music of Black Women), addresses racism, homophobia, feminism, and love in her songs. As a teenager, she traveled solo across Brazil with a guitar, sharing messages of social solidarity. Her song "Cota Não É Esmola" has garnered over 13 million views on YouTube. Since 2017, she has performed in Brazil and Europe, with her showcase at the October 2022 WOMEX in Lisbon standing out. This success has propelled her Portuguese-sung music to a global audience. She recorded live in 2018 for Estúdio Showlivre, followed by her debut studio album "Igreja Lesbiteriana, Um Chamado" a year later. In late 2022, she released her second album, "Faminta."
