Sanza Percussions and Sadio Sissokho present an acoustic project featuring the kora. Sissokho, a Juno Award winner from Senegal, delivers kora solos and vocal flights, accompanied by two sanza players, the African thumb piano, and traditional gourd percussion. Trevor and François, the sanza players, create a polyphonic style, enriched with harmonies and counter-melodies, accompanied by the rhythms of the gourd percussion and cajon. The group collaborates with jazz saxophonist Bryan Highbloom, exploring the fusion of Manding music and jazz in their Afro-Jazz project.
