Originally from Côte d'Ivoire, Gotta Lago spent 18 years in Montreal, diversifying his artistic journey. As a pianist in a reggae group, and a student of jazz vocal and classical singing at the University of Montreal, he also collaborated with visual artists, hosted storytelling events, performed in theater, and engaged in contemporary dance. In 2004, he founded the Gotta Lago Project, blending African, blues, and world music. His first album, "Carnets de route" (2014), was followed by the award-winning "African Guitar Spirit" (2015), a musical research project that evolved into a series of performances. Currently, he embarks on a new exploration project.
