The Afro-Persian wave is a new musical creation that plunges us into a little-known past of the crossroads of African and Persian sounds. This historical crossroads dates back to the early 19th century in southern Iran. This historical mutual influence is revisited in a musical language by contemporary musicians of both African and Persian origin. In this way, the crossroads of yesteryear is perpetuated in a rich and dynamic multicultural current, just like the metropolis of Montreal.
La vague afro-perse is a musical creation by four artists of Iranian and African origin. The multicultural richness of the musicians in this project allows them to draw musical inspiration from both the Persian and African repertoires.
