“For me, it’s natural to play blues or jazz. To play reggae. To play soul or R&B. These sounds have the same ancestry,” T-Paul Beaubrun told PBS in 2018. The son of Lòlò and Manzè, of Boukman Eksperyans, grew up to the sound of mizik rasin.
