OKAN

In Santeria, Okan means the heart or soul. This portrays Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne wonderfully. As women performing in a male-dominated musical style, they put everything they have into rethinking traditions. Their style, a radiant combination of Afro-Cuban beats, jazz, folk and world music, crafted with a classical touch, draws its strength from the rippling percussions of Magdelys and the pure voice of Elizabeth, supported by her violin.
