Créations In Vivo presents PATENTEUSES, a brand-new Franco-Ontarian musical comedy. Marielle, Lucile, Dorothée, and Rita live in Saint-Cibole in 1900. While trying to understand where their husbands have disappeared to, they discover the existence of a powerful French-Canadian secret society reserved for men: La Patente. Founded in 1926 in Vanier, Ontario, this order has worked in the shadows for nearly forty years to organize and protect the heritage of French Canada.

They disguise themselves as priests and infiltrate the order. It is there that they discover the heritage is in danger. Rather than stay home while everything is decided in secrecy and exclusion, they decide that the heritage must be saved by singing its praises, and they set off on tour to sing it wherever La Patente reigns.

This show is a collaboration between La Slague and Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario.
