Konflit for our new festival

Every year, La Slague opens the stage to emerging artists! An event that has been running for over a decade, a festival that has allowed an entire new generation of artists to take their first steps in the spotlight. This year marks a turning point: a new chapter in the same story is about to be written, giving way to a brand-new festival.

A standard-bearer for a bold youth and a resolutely unconventional spirit, Konflit was among the first artists to perform at the very first edition of La Nuit émergente in 2013 at Collège Boréal. A symbolic nod to this legacy, which brings us full circle and opens a new chapter.

Friday, March 27, starting at 5 p.m. :

To mark this milestone, Konflit will participate in a roundtable discussion as part of Radio-Canada’s *Au rythme du Nord*, hosted by Elsie Miclisse and featuring Éric Robitaille. The discussion will be broadcast live from the Bistro at Place des Arts in Greater Sudbury.

The evening will continue with the 2026 artist-in-residence program from La Slague in the Studio Desjardins at La Place des Arts in Greater Sudbury. Three promising up-and-coming Franco-Ontarian talents will take center stage: Luna Fox, singer-songwriter and lead vocalist of Le Bruit d’aujourd’hui, will perform her emotionally charged pop songs; Jonathan Okoua will share his Ponctuations project, blending vocals and guitar in original compositions; while Darlene Ya will invite the audience to get into the groove and participate in her energetic and interactive musical world. Together, they promise a festive, creative, and inspiring evening.

Saturday, March 28, starting at 7:30 p.m. :

The evening will kick off at Au Pied du Rocher at Collège Boréal, with Rayannah as the opening act. She will create live soundscapes using her voice, loops, and synthesizers, leading up to Konflit’s main show in the Salle Trisac. Every sound will become an invitation to journey into an immersive universe, both intimate and fascinating.

Konflit will headline in the Salle Trisac at Collège Boréal for their big show marking their return; to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album “Hors d’œuvre,” they have some surprises in store for the audience.

The evening will then continue at Lounge 390 with an after-party hosted by Magic Pelvis, a Sudbury-based trio blending rock, jazz, and psychedelia. Together, they’ll offer unique, improvised, and deeply original sonic odysseys, guaranteeing a memorable experience until the end of the night.

Childcare will also be available on the evening of Saturday, March 28, for parents who wish to attend the festival! Register your little one here.
