Subsun

Combining sludge raw power, psychedelic heaviness of doom metal along with the more eclectic song structures found in progressive metal and a more melodic approach inherited from stoner rock, Subsun is a four-piece hailing from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.

The band, comprised of André Bélanger (Guitar), Jérémy Blais (Drums), Simon Chartrand-Paquette (Bass/Vocals) and Jean-Michel Fortin (Guitar/Vocals), is quickly noticed in Quebec underground scene for their musical universe saturated with fuzz, punctuated with sudden transition and alternating between omnious and dark ambiance and fast and abrasive section. However, it’s mostly for the live energetic and intense live performance that they make a name for themselves with the fans of greasy tones and thunderous drums.

Made up of members of Cruel Fate and Heights Peak, Cain Rising was formed in the spring of 2024.

Blending multiple influences into their doom sludge sound, Cain Rising is currently in the studio recording their first album.
