FRENCH CHILDREN'S PLAY FOR AGES 10+

Written by Francis Monty in 2001, "Léon le nul" is a powerful play that depicts the life of a young boy. At school, he is the target of his classmates' bullying. At home, he struggles to find his place between his nervous and impatient mother and his brother Éthienne, a successful chocolate seller who is wealthy and self-assured. In an attempt to cope, Léon wants to become a train, tough and powerful. So he eats nails and waits for his birthdays to turn his legs into wheels.

"Léon le nul" addresses themes of bullying, rejection, and the inner strength needed to confront these issues.

Text and direction: Francis Monty
Actor: Étienne Blanchette

A production of Théâtre de la Pire Espèce

This show is sponsored by Collège Boréal
