"Either you're the boss de tes bécosses, or you're a carrier of civilization!", announces an upside-down owl to a poet from Hoch’lag. This laboratory attests to the first encounter between a member of the Wendat Nation and her culture. Woven throughout with the wisdom of the Indigenous medicine wheel, this street poetry piece merges supernatural universes, biographical narrative, citizen speech, dance, storytelling, and experimental music. The artist shares the complexity of her search for meaning – in this new engagement with her origins – within apocalyptical times. This multidimensional and disconcerting experience is, for the first time, given voice and embodiment by the author.
