Our Lady Peace

When Our Lady Peace released Spiritual Machines in 2000, they had become one of Canada’s

most successful alt-rock bands. They were about to get even bigger with their next album, the

Bob Rock-produced, megahit-spawning Gravity that would make OLP a global force.

A concept record named after a book by Futurist Ray Kurzweil (whose voice appears throughout

the album), Spiritual Machines found OLP subverting the working rock formula that worked so

well for them, writing anthemic guitar hooks next to literal predictive modelings addressing a

future dependent on AI and the legal rights of computers. Twenty years later, Spiritual

Machines’s predictions have mostly come true.

Now, and with groundbreaking advances in technology, there’s reason to celebrate. OLP

responds to this hope with Spiritual Machines 2, the band’s long-awaited sequel LP. Produced by

TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek (with additional production by Jason Lader on three tracks) and

featuring the return of Kurzweil with new predictions, Spiritual Machines 2's technicolor

grooves mark an uplifting new chapter for OLP, as well as a chance to readjust the expectations

for our shared future.

It will serve as both a return to form and the marker of a new era for a band that’s been on the

main stage for over 25 years. Our Lady Peace is Raine Maida (lead vocals), Duncan Coutts

(bass), Jason Pierce (percussion), and Steve Mazur (lead guitar). They have sold over five

million albums, won four JUNO Awards and 10 Much Music Videos Awards (one of the

MMVA’s most awarded artists), and have toured the world with The Rolling Stones, Guns ‘n’

Roses, Van Halen, Goo Goo Dolls, Alanis Morissette, and more, in addition to launching their

music festival, Summersault, and playing at legendary festivals such as Woodstock ’99 and Live

8. The band’s No. 1 radio hits in Canada include “Clumsy,” “In Repair,” “Somewhere Out

There,” and “Angels Losing Sleep.”

Les Shirley

Les Shirley is a kick-ass all-female rock power trio formed in Montreal in 2019.

Raphaëlle Chouinard (vocals, guitar), Lisandre Bourdages (drums) and Sarah Dion

(bass) were brought together by a strong desire to make the music they’d always

wanted to hear as their life’s playlist, fueled by their unique friendship.

Their musical style is redefining the genre connecting the dots between 90’s grunge,

2000’s punk rock culture and catchy pop tunes with influences ranging from

Paramore to Céline Dion. It’s just the right dose of nostalgia mixed with a breath of

fresh air, something that definitely stands out. The girls are solid musicians with a

flair for flaming hot melodies and bursting riffs.

Les Shirley rapidly made their way into Montreal’s music scene. In 2019, the band's

self-titled debut EP won them Best New Artist and Rock EP of the Year at Quebec’s

GAMIQ gala. Forever Is Now, their debut album, was released in march 2021 and

received very favorable reviews. The leading single Fuck It I’m in Love charted on the

Active Rock top 40 charts and cumulated over 600K plays on all plateforms as of

now. Their sophomore album, More is More, came out in October of 2022 and was

nominated at ADISQ gala for Anglophone Album Of The Year and performed for the

opening number. In 2023, the band cumulates many tv appearances (Belle et Bum,

Bonsoir Bonsoir, En Direct de l’Univers, etc) and was featured on The Voice Quebec

as guests on a special performance for the show’s finale. Their music was also used

in many tv shows that aired on platforms such as Crave.

Quickly multiplying shows and festivals (over 200 since 2019), the girls shared the

stage with many big acts such as NOFX, Weezer, Sublime and were main support for

bands like Foo Fighters (at the band’s demand!), Simple Plan, Billy Talent, The

Beaches and Avril Lavigne. They quickly embarked on many European tours across

Germany, France, Denmark and Sweden. Ever since, radios all over Canada and

beyond have been spinning their tunes and their crowd is only growing bigger and

wilder.

In 2025, the band is set to work on a third album and their first US tour will take place

in October of that year.

Thierry Larose

Marked by the independent culture of the turn of the millennium, Thierry Larose creates a composite sound—a sensitive and elastic song that intertwines literature and explores our relationship with fiction, driven by vectorial rock impulses, and seeking the lacrimal, the punctum, and the exaltation of pop in the margins. Following the double single La vie ne vaut d’être vêtue / Cache-cou, he released his first album Cantalou in 2021 under Bravo musique: this led to nominations for the 2021 Polaris Prize, the Félix-Leclerc Prize, as well as for Revelation of the Year and Rock Album at ADISQ, among the 50 Best Albums of Exclaim, and #3 on the CISM French Top 50, with "Les amants de Pompéi" winning the SOCAN Song Prize, among others—all with humility and brilliance. In March 2023, his highly anticipated second album Sprint! was made available to the public. It’s a celebration of what spurs us on and connects us, as part of a youth eager to experience emotions that are as new as they are necessary and appropriate—otherwise, what’s the point?

Easy Tiger

Easy Tiger is the official soundtrack of a tiki bar full of cowboys drinking margaritas, and we're here to dance. Are you joining us?

Easy Tiger is a DIY project by Gabrielle La Rue and Sarah Dion. A tech entrepreneur by day, rock 'n' roller by night, Gabrielle shreds on guitar and sings, writing songs about her eclectic life. Sarah, a full-time rockstar in bands like NOBRO and Les Shirley, plays drums and bass. Armed with YouTube tutorials and tons of patience, they figured out how to engineer, record, and produce all their music on their own.

In the spring of 2024, Easy Tiger returns with a second EP titled "Baby, Tag Along." An eclectic EP that embraces the same DIY approach, with no genre holding the band back. From extreme partying to sobriety, "Baby, Tag Along" is a 6-person therapy session for the fearless and the broken.

Paige Barlow

With her new eponymous solo project, singer-songwriter Paige Barlow offers a sound that combines folk and psychedelia with pop, yéyé and shoegaze. Originally from Atlanta, Paige adopted the French language and integrated it into her music after arriving in Montreal, where she still resides today. Her songs deftly carry her cultural baggage through irresistible nonchalance, straightforward lyrics and timeless guitar riffs.

Meanwhile, Paige has collaborated on a number of notable projects, including Galaxie, Hippie Hourrah and Solipsisme. She's also known for her former electro-pop-rock band MIELS, which released two albums that captivated crowds at festivals such as FEQ, Francos de Montréal, FME, POP Montréal, Coup de Cœur francophone, GAMIQ and many others.

Referred to as the "heiress of Iggy Pop" during a Radio-Canada studio performance, Paige Barlow will be reinventing the fascination we hold for her through her musical creations and performances. Her first solo EP was released in may 2024 on the Duprince label.
