Kelowna Rose
Kelowna Rose graduated with a diploma in pop/jazz vocals from Cégep de Drummondville in 2021.
During her studies, she began performing professionally at community and special events. At the
same time, she had the opportunity to work with the organization Parrainage Civique Drummond,
creating music workshops for adults with intellectual disabilities.
After graduating, she enrolled in the Performing Arts Industry program at CFP Maurice-Barbeau. It
was during this time that she felt a strong urge to start composing. She gathered a team of
musicians to arrange and record her debut EP, which was released two years later in October 2024
entitled “Guilty of My Reality”.
Along the way , Kelowna continued working as a freelance vocalist and self-produced several shows
in Montreal, including Four Women, a performance highlighting the voices of four emerging women
composers and celebrating feminine artistry . In the summer of 2024, she also had the opportunity
to open for The Brooks at Théâtre Granada as part of the Concerts de la Cité series—an
unforgettable dream come true.
Music education also holds an important place in her life. She works with the organization Jeunes
Musiciens du Monde, which offers music lessons to youth from underprivileged communities in
Longueuil, Laval, and across the island of Montreal. In the fall of 2024, she had the chance to
collaborate with teenagers from the Atikamekw community of Manawan. Together, they composed
an original song and created a music video—a powerful and meaningful experience for Kelowna,
who witnessed the impact of the project on the youth.
Today , Kelowna Rose leads her solo project while collaborating with several musical groups. She
performs as a backing vocalist for Alphonse Bisaillon (francophone pop), as well as Hanorah on spontaneous occasions. She also features
as a lead vocalist for Coco Rose (pop-funk), Positivity (acid jazz) and the LBA Band (Top 40 cover band).
